In an office building in Zoetermeer Dimitri Baldé has fitted a staircase with stainless steel railings.
The client wanted a modern look and wanted to combine powder coated steel with stainless steel.
A robust T-profile was chosen for the balusters, with stainless steel steel cables running through it. For the handrail we chose polished stainless steel tube.
For the assembly of the balusters, mounting plates were first attached to the concrete stairs with two heavy anchors, which reduced the need to drill into the natural stone stairs. Then the balusters were mounted with four countersunk bolts.
I also installed stainless steel skirting boards throughout the building.
